This tropical evergreen has a dense flowering habit and vibrant purple blooms surrounded by dark green leaves. This heavy bloomer retains its color well and reaches 20-30 feet tall (6-10 feet wide). It flourishes as a vine, accent, ground cover, or container plant. This Bougainvillea is a moderate to fast grower with an incredibly thick flowering habit. The bougainvillea-industry standard for purple, this variety is a staple item for landscapers in South Florida, hence her alias name ‘Palm Beach’. Bougainvillea needs at least 6 hours of full sun a day to flower profusely and look its best. This plant also loves the heat. This plant is hardy from USDA zones 9b – 11. It doesn’t like to go below 30 degrees F and definitely not for a prolonged period of time.
